SeaStar Restaurant + Raw Bar — Bellevue, WA
Named "Best New Restaurant of the Year" by TV show Evening Magazine viewers, SeaStar Restaurant and Raw Bar is a hot eatery for hip dates, private dining and relaxing after-work professionals. To create this soft, flowing, elegant restaurant, Weber Thompson started with a hard-edged retail shell set on three levels. The design team converted the retail space by filling in the floor to create one U-shaped area that took advantage of 270 degrees of glass. This layout facilitated the client's concept of three unique dining experiences: a high energy "see and be seen" zone, an intimate dining section and an active bar and raw bar. Interior finishes create a sophisticated, yet comfortable atmosphere combining warm, earthy elements with materials that capture the sparkle and energy of the sea.
