Orenda announced as a winner in the ULI Jack Kemp Excellence in Affordable and Workforce Housing Award

The Othello Square development arose as a direct response to the displacement of long-time residents of the Othello neighborhood in South Seattle. Orenda, a workforce housing development situated within this development, unites a vision for housing, healthcare and early education.

 

Orenda was announced as a winner in the 2022 Urban Land Institute Jack Kemp Excellence in Affordable and Workforce Housing Awards!

The award recognizes exemplary developments across the U.S. that demonstrate creativity in expanding housing opportunities and help to create mixed-income communities.

Driven by the community, Orenda is a workforce housing development that acts as a cornerstone for the diverse cultures of the Othello neighborhood. The project unites a vision for housing, healthcare with a children’s clinic, and early education.
