The Aurora Bridge Swales project was awarded the Grand Prize in the Landscape Design category at the 2022 GRAY Magazine Awards!
The swales are a 3-phase project that treats up to 2,000,000 gallons of highly toxic water annually from the entire north span of the Aurora Bridge by incorporating native plants and soil terraces on three sites along the public right-of-way. The project is setting a new precedent for how cities and communities around the world can tackle challenging toxic stormwater runoff problems.
This is an exciting win for the project team and our community.
