On January 17th, the 616 Battery team celebrated a milestone after receiving approval from the Downtown Design Review Board at Recommendation.

The 45 story apartment tower, located at the intersection of 7th and Battery, will have a prominent location along Denny Way with commanding views of the Space Needle, Elliott Bay, and Lake Union. The tower’s design is inspired by the folding grids and urban fabric that defines the area, capturing that geometry in the massing, skin and landscaping to create a cohesive contemporary design that explores lighting and reflectivity as another material in its palette.

Lush landscaping, raised planters and a new curbless 7th Ave. turnaround create a vibrant pedestrian experience.

Weber Thompson is the architect and landscape architect of the project, with an anticipated completion in 2026.
