From the moment one steps into the lobby, it’s clear that the building’s common spaces are classy and stylish. Plyboo wallcoverings and metro map super graphics riff on the design team’s concepts of transit, technology, and connectivity – with a splash of retro thrown in for good measure. Custom built-in benches and upholstered banquettes were locally made by QA Group, and fixtures were selected to add punches of whimsy.
Throughout the building, directional patterns and perforations playing with pattern and light tie the spaces together. The upper lounge and media rooms are designed to support flexible uses, and a compact kitchen makes roof-top meals possible year round, whether on a summer evening outdoors or rainy night tucked into the cozy banquette. Textured wood panels hang on the wall and from the ceiling to create this intimate kitchen nook in the otherwise open space. Translucent sliding doors separate the spaces to provide privacy between the media room and lounge, making this compact space extremely functional for a variety of uses.
Units at Track 66 average 300 sf but they live large thanks to clean lines and efficient layouts. Building amenities offer additional spaces to study or hang with friends, and a plethora of nearby campus buildings, restaurants, cafes and coffee shops serve as an extension of home. Residents rarely cook elaborate meals, so compact kitchens with generous storage and integrated laundry appliances become streamlined and efficient. Modern casework with clean lines and tile backsplashes are easy on the eyes, and bathrooms are light and airy.
